4. Change yarn color for petals. *Ch 2, dc in same st, 2tr in next st, 2tr in next st, (dc, ch 2, sl st) in next st, sl st in next st*, repeat to end of round. Finish off and weave in ends.

Center Stitching (optional)

Cut a piece of contrasting yarn approximately 24” long for the circle around the center. Thread yarn through a yarn needle until ends are even. Tie a knot in the ends. Add a circle of stitching between the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Cut a piece of contrasting yarn approximately 24” long for the center of the flower. Thread yarn through a yarn needle until ends are even. Tie a knot in the ends. Insert yarn needle from the wrong side of the flower just inside the round of stitching from previous step. Insert yarn needle directly across circle and pull snug. Continue stitching across the center circle as shown in main photo.

Assembly

  • Attach the tiles to the calendar with brads or desired items.
  • Snaps: Sew the flowers together as shown in the main photo. Center the flowers over the snaps already sewn to the organizer to find placement. Sew two coordinating snap pieces to the back of the flowers so they line up with the snaps on the organizer.
