Weekly Wash #16: WAY Bumpy Washcloths

A great washcloth/dishcloth in my opinion is easy to make and thick enough to do the job. When I made my Daisy Hanging Towel I realized the towel part would make excellent cloths too!

I have included a variety of sizes from a 6″ to an almost 12″ cloth because I have found some people prefer small cloths and some like a big one. You can also make any size you would like by following the tip for custom sizes.

WAY Bumpy Washcloths Crochet Pattern

The patterns for all three sizes are available for free below.

Materials

  • Yarn: 120-200 yards ww cotton
Yarn used in sample: Peaches & Crème Cotton Psychedelic Ombre, Bright Blue, Gold
  • Crochet Hook: I (5.5mm)
  • Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in ends
  • Sizes: Small – 6.25” square,  Medium – 8.75” square, Large – 11.75” square

Tips – Please read before you begin the project.

  • First stitch of each row is worked into the same stitch as the turning chain.
  • Numbers at the beginning of each line may refer to steps and not indicate number of rows.
  • Stitch count remains the same unless noted at end of row.
  • If you have any questions about this pattern please contact [email protected].
  • Custom Sizes: create any size by starting with a beginning chain that is divisible by 3 and then add 2 more chains. For example, the small cloth starts with a chain of 23. 21 is divisible by 3, plus an additional 2 = 23.
