Free Pattern: Picot Cloths
This week’s cloth is based on a stitch tutorial, “Picot Single Crochet and Granule Stitch” by Moogly. I wanted to give this stitch a try and thought it would make a great scrubbie of the week. I made two sizes.
For the dish cloth I added rows of hdc between borders of the picot stitch instead of working the entire cloth to save time. I like how the set turned out.
Picot Cloths
Materials
Cotton yarn in choice of color (s)
H Crochet Hook
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Wash Cloth Instructions
Finished Size: 6″ square
I used an H hook and started with a chain of 22. Follow Moogly’s tutorial for the cloth.

Dish Cloth Instructions
Finished Size: 9.5″ square
- With an H hook and and cotton yarn, ch 34, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ch across. (33sts)
2-11. Follow Moogly’s tutorial, repeating rows 2-5 twice.
11-23. Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st to end of row.
24-33. Follow Moogly’s tutorial, repeating rows 2-5 twice.
Finish off and weave in ends.
