Crochet: Hooded Cowl, a favorite pattern

Last fall a friend needed a “costume” for Halloween that she could wear to work. “Nothing major, like a hat or something”, was her request. I had been working on a hooded cowl and knew it would be perfect for her.

Taylor’s Hooded Lion Cowl is made from super bulky weight yarn and a pretty (and fun to do) stitch. She loved it and so did everyone that day. After Halloween we took the mane and ears off and she has worn it several times. The pattern includes sizes Toddler, Child and Teen/Adult.

Recently, Nondas Hensley of Yarn Medleys of the Heart made an everyday version for her daughter.
