Countdown Calendar: Bells

One of our favorite Christmas carols is Carol of the Bells. We have Christmas music playing as much as possible throughout the holidays. There are so many wonderful bell patterns, but I wanted something a little whimsical and unique for our “Countdown to Christmas Calendar“.

MATERIALS

Yarn: Worsted weight in two colors

Crochet Hook: G (pattern calls for a smaller hook, but I wanted a larger bell).

Miscellaneous: Yarn needle

Directions: Follow directions for making “The Little Christmas Bell” by A la Sascha. You will need to translate the page. 

Note: I carried my yarns across the first part of the mitten, the striped band. I added one row of white at the end so I would be able to work the sc row over the carried yarns to hide them.

Hanger: When making the bow I added a hanger at the end. Ch 10, and then slip st in center circle. Slip the chain section from top of bell through the hanger loop and attach.
