Decorate Your Space With Snappy Crochet

I want to see your seasonal decorations! I LOVE changing things for the holidays and seasons and would love some inspiration.

In May I announced a contest and so many have loved the idea that we have decided to extend it through the summer! If you have already submitted an entry THANK YOU!! Those winners will be announced next week.

  • The quick info
  • More information
  • Links to free patterns (just suggestions… you can use ANY snappy patterns)

How You Can Enter

  1. Take a picture of a place you have decorated for summer with items you have crocheted from Snappy Tots patterns or items you purchased from a store (i.e. wood, paper, plastic and more), or a combo of both.
  2. Send a picture, along with a description to [email protected]. Please include “contest entry” in your subject line and the name you would like us to use when posting the photo.
  3. Enter as many times as you like, just please do different spaces or set ups. (i.e. patriotic, summer, pool party)
  • Pictures will be chosen each week to appear on this post and in my weekly newsletter.

👉This is for people with AND WITHOUT geese. If you have a porch goose and want to include it in your entry… GREAT! If you do not, that’s great too!

Disclaimer: Submitting a photo gives snappy tots permission to publish the picture here on this page and in the newsletter.

My parent’s geese were ready for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.

About the Contest

Combine Snappy patterns to decorate an area to show your patriotic spirit or summer vibes. This could be a porch, desk at work, area inside your home/room, wherever you decorate.

Your space can include a combo of crochet, DIY, and store bought decorations (any crochet items must be made from snappy tot patterns).

This is open to everyone! Its always fun to see what people come up with. There is a surprise for everyone that enters by May 31st so please get your snap on!

What if you don’t crochet? There will be a category to showcase entries that include only store bought or other crafts, but please be aware all of the prizes are crochet related.

How to Enter:

  1. Crochet an item(s) using patterns designed by me, Snappy Tots in a USA or summer them. You can use a combination of patterns, but please only use Snappy Tots patterns. This is a fun way to show ways to use my patterns together and in return I give everyone a prize, PLUS there are bigger wins too.
  2. THIS IS FREE! How much will this cost you? Nothing unless you want to purchase different patterns, but I have several for free on my blog and will be sharing suggestions. Plus, if you need ideas I would LOVE to help. Just send me an email ([email protected])
  3. Entries may include ribbons, buttons, and felt items.
  4. Enter as many items as you would like, but please only one entry per project.
  5. Email a photo (or collage) to [email protected] by June 7, 2026 with a list of the patterns used in your creation.
IMPORTANT: Do not include any watermarks on your entry photos to help keep the photos anonymous. A “snappytots contest” watermark will be added to the photo.
  6. Winners will be chosen and posted throughout the month of June.

The Prizes

EVERYONE that enters an eligible photo by 6/7/26 gets a prize (one per person).

In addition, several winners will be chosen by a panel of judges to receive snappy patterns, yarn, supplies.

This is not about crochet ability and technique, but about using your creativity and joy of life. Need help with those areas? (me too lots of times!) Send me an email and we can chat about some options.
