A few years ago I designed a “Flower Power Cloth” that is a unique hanging towel. I love the texture of it and have wanted to make a matching dishcloth. This texture and wavy edge remind me of frosting. Watch for another hanging towel coming soon to match this with even more sweet frosting.
Sweet Frosting Dishcloth Pattern

Materials
- Yarn: Lily Sugar N Cream worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in choice of colors.
- Crochet Hook: I (5.5mm)
- Miscellaneous: yarn needle to weave in ends
- Gauge: not necessary for this project
- Measurement: 8″ wide x 10″ long (or desired length)
Directions
1. With an I hook and pink yarn (or choice of color), ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (30sts)
2. Ch 2, turn, hdc in the same st and in each st to end of row.
3. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row. (10 clusters)
4. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row. (10 clusters)
5. Cut yarn and change to white yarn. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
6. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
7. Cut yarn and change to green yarn. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
8. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
9. Cut yarn and change to white yarn. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
10. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
11. Repeat previous row for an additional 10 rows. (6 for a square cloth)
12. Cut yarn and change to orange yarn. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
13. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
14. Cut yarn and change to white yarn. Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, 2dc) in next st, repeat to end of row.
15. Ch 2, turn, hdc in the same st and in each st across.
16. Ch 1, turn, sl st in the same st and in each st across. Finish off and weave in ends.
