Free Crochet Pattern: Hanging Baskets | 2026 Holiday Stashdown CAL
Hanging Baskets
Little baskets, big possibilities!
2026 Holiday Stashdown Crochet Along with CAL Central
Sometimes the smallest handmade gifts are the sweetest! These little crocheted hanging baskets make adorable gifts by themselves, or fill them with holiday goodies, wrapped candies, gift cards, and other little surprises.
They are also a wonderful way to use up smaller amounts of yarn from your stash! Make them in Christmas colors, winter shades, or a cheerful mix of leftovers.
I’m excited to share my Hanging Baskets for the 2026 Holiday Stashdown Crochet Along with CAL Central, celebrating stash-busting projects for winter and the holidays.

Custom Sizes
These could easily be made any size by changing yarn and hook sizes or adding more sts and rounds (more info below).
Adding sts: For larger sizes using worsted weight yarn and an H hook, add more increase rounds. For example, after the last increase round you would add one to the number in underlined below. This will add 6 sts per increase round.
For each extra increase, add 2 more rounds to the middle section of the basket.
Use up leftover yarn in your favorite colors, make a single basket as a tiny gift holder, or connect all three for a fun hanging display. Fill with individually wrapped treats or little holiday surprises!
I’d Love to See Your Baskets!
