About the Patterns
The pattern for the main “Snappy Organizer”, which includes January is available for free at this link, plus there are links to the monthly sets (posted on the 15th of each month for the next month). If you would like to work ahead, the packs of all of the monthly patterns are available to purchase.

June’s Crochet Patterns
These are designed to be used with the “Snappy Organizer”.
Materials and Details
- Yarn: less than 50 yards each of 4 different colors. Sample colors: RHSS Bright Yellow, White, Cherry Red, Turqua
- Crochet Hook: H (5mm)
- Miscellaneous: Yarn needle, 2 large snaps to match the calendar
Tips
- Numbers at the beginning of each line may refer to steps and not indicate number of rows.
- Stitch count remains the same unless noted at end of row.

Boat
Bottom:
1. With an H hook and red yarn, ch 12, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (11sts)
2. Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in same st, sc 9, 2sc in last st. (13sts)
3. Ch 1, turn, 2hdc in same st, sc 11, 2hdc in last st. (15sts) Finish off and weave in ends.
Large Sail:
1. With H hook and white yarn, ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (9sts)
2. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc 6, sc2tog. (8sts)
3. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc 6. (7sts)
4. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc 4, sc2tog. (6sts)
5. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc 4. (5sts)
6. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc 2, sc2tog. (4sts)
7. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc 2. (3sts)
8. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc2tog. (2sts)
9. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog. (1st) Finish off and weave in ends.
Small Sail
1. With H hook and white yarn, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (7sts)
2. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc 4, sc2tog. (6sts)
3. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc 4. (5sts)
4. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc 2, sc2tog. (4sts)
5. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc 2. (3sts)
6. Ch 1, turn, sc in same st, sc2tog. (2sts)
7. Ch 1, turn, sc2tog. (1st) Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing in place.
Center Pole and Small Flag
With H hook and yarn color of choice, ch 12, (2hdc, sl st) in 2nd ch from hook, sc 3, ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, sc2tog, ch 1, turn, sc2tog. Ch 1, sl st in the side of the last st, sl st 3 down the side of the triangle, sl st in each ch to end. Finish off and weave in ends.
Waves
This strip hast 6 peaks/waves. Two of them will be folded back behind the boat.
1. With an H hook and blue yarn, ch 29, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (28sts)
2. Ch 3, turn, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, 2dc in the same st as turning chain, 2hdc in the next st, sc2tog, sc2tog, *ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, 2dc in the same st on the main strip, 2hdc in the next st, sc2tog, sc2tog*, repeat until 2 sts remain, ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, 2dc in the same st on the main strip, 2hdc in the next st, sl st in the last st. Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing waves to boat.
Sun
1. With an H hook and yellow yarn, start with a magic circle of 8 sts (or preferred method for starting a circle of 8 sc sts), pull closed and place a marker for working in the round. (8sts)
2. 2sc in each st to end of round. (16sts)
3. *sc, 2sc in next st*, repeat to end of round. (24sts)
4. *Sl st in next st, ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc, hdc, sk 1, sl st in next st on circle*, repeat to end of round. Finish off and weave in ends.
Assembly
- Follow main calendar pattern to create the tiles. Attach the tiles to the calendar with brads or desired items.
- Snaps:
- See main photo for sewing the boat section together.
- Sew the boat pieces together.
- Use the yarn tail from the waves to sew it to the boat, overlapping the front bottom of the boat. Wrap the ends around the boat and secure in place.
- Sew the sun behind one sail.
- Center the boat sails over the snaps already sewn to the organizer to find placement. Sew two coordinating snap pieces to the back of the sails so they line up with the snaps on the organizer.
