Welcome to the First Snappy Fashion Show!
Grab your front-row seat because this flock is ready to strut! 🪿✨
These little geese originally got dressed up for a special faculty event, with each one created to match a different job, interest or personality. After all that work getting ready, I couldn’t let their fabulous little outfits have only one moment in the spotlight!
So we’re bringing the flock back together and sending them down the Snappy runway.
And with Halloween right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better. Any of these looks could make a fun Halloween costume for your own goose — or become a new addition to their year-round wardrobe.
One of my favorite things about these outfits is how simple they really are. Most start with basic crochet pieces like sweaters, dresses, hats, bags and aprons. Then the colors, accessories and little finishing touches turn those basics into a completely different character.
As you make your way down the runway, you’ll find information beneath each look to help you create it. You can make yours just like the original, mix and match pieces from different looks, or use the ideas as inspiration for a character of your own.
I kept these versions fairly simple, but you can take them as far as you’d like. Add more details, embellishments and tiny accessories, change the colors or dream up an entirely new personality.
A sweater. A dress. A hat. A bag. Then add the little details that tell the story.
Getting Ready for the Runway
Of course, no fashion show happens without a little backstage chaos. Outfits on, accessories ready… and everybody into position!

Give That Flock a Round of Applause!
Eleven geese. Eleven personalities. And a whole lot of tiny accessories.
But here’s the part I really hope you noticed: you don’t need a completely different crochet pattern every time you want your goose to have a new look.
A sweater is just a sweater… until you change the colors, add a headset and hand your goose a game controller. A simple dress can become something completely different with a hat, apron, bag or a few carefully chosen details.
You don’t need a closet full of one-use costumes. You need a closet full of possibilities.
Now It’s YOUR Turn!
Think about someone you know — or just invent a character for fun. A teacher? Gardener? Baker? Sports fan? Librarian? Mechanic? Crazy Grandma with entirely too much yarn? 😜
Start with a basic piece and then ask: “What ONE little detail would tell their story?”
That’s where the fun really starts.
