Countdown Calendar: Mittens

I tried a few different mitten ornament patterns for our “Countdown to Christmas Calendar“ and liked this one best.

These have become a favorite on our calendar, plus I have made several sets for gifts. They are very cute tied on a basket handle too. 

About The Pattern

Materials

Yarn: Worsted weight in two colors

Crochet Hook: F, G

Miscellaneous: Yarn needle

Directions: Follow directions for making “L’il Mittens” by Cobblers Cabin

Note: I carried my yarns across the first part of the mitten, the striped band. I added one row of white at the end so I would be able to work the sc row over the carried yarns to hide them.

Hanger: The hanger for our calendar doesn’t need to be as long as for a tree so I chained 50.
