Fab Find: Awesome Hats Pattern Review

If you follow me on facebook, you know I LOVE squishy soft slipper patterns. I have become a huge fan of the new slipper sock patterns by Hatch-ed With Love. They are easy to follow, fit great and include a lot of sizes. When she released her “Flannel Mimic slipper socks” I knew I would be making those for my oldest son who LOVES flannel.

Each year, for his birthday, my son requests a hand made hat. I knew just what I wanted to make…so I asked Jen (Hatch-ed With Love) if she planned on writing a flannel mimic pattern. Here it is!

I was so excited to be able to make the hat before the pattern was even released. How awesome of her to do this! I needed to get them in the mail asap. I was so thankful the pattern was perfect and whipped up quickly.

The pattern has been released and is fabulous. Since the pattern includes all sizes, I was able to make one for my grandson too. Won’t they be adorable in their matching hats?! The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, but I made mine from Loops and Threads Charisma for a warmer hat. I followed instructions for one size smaller hat since I was using thicker yarn.
