Crochet: Baby Shark Pattern
When my new niece was born we knew she needed the perfect Halloween costume. Based on my popular Shark Hat, this cocoon will keep her warm and super cute.
About the Pattern
The pattern is really easy and includes instructions for making a backpack. My 8 year old said a backpack would be awesome so of course he gets one! It is a great place to keep pajamas too.
Materials
Yarn: worsted weight in 1 or 2 shades of grey (shark body and fins), cream, white, black
Crochet Hooks: G, H, I
Miscellaneous: yarn needle, 2 small safety eyes (or small black buttons for backpack), large snap (optional for backpack), sewing needle and matching thread
Gauge: 4″ with I hook = 9 rounds and 14 hdc
Measurement: Tip of tail to top of jaw – 23”; before tail to opening – 15”; from opening to top of jaw – 4”
HUGE thank you to Shaunna Hallsson (backpack photos) and JoAnne of Grammyjo Lids for their awesome samples.
