Countdown Calendar: Wreath
This wreath, with the cute bow, is a nice addition to our “Countdown to Christmas Calendar“.
It is so quick and easy. It would be great to have on hand to tie on packages and gift baskets. I have always wanted to try adding one to a beanie or headband. I think that would be cute.
MATERIALS
Yarn: Worsted weight in green and red
Crochet Hook: Size G (pattern calls for a smaller hook, but I chose to use a G hook)
Miscellaneous: Yarn needle
Directions: Follow directions for making “Free Holiday Crochet Pattern” by Oombawka Designs.
Note: The wreath worked up super quick and I love this bow. I worked the bow a little differently then written for the part worked across the ch 11 because my counts were coming out differently.
“You will now be working back along the chain-11 as follows: 1 tr in the fifth chain from hook, 1 tr in the sixth chain from hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 sc in the last st.”
Hanger: With G hook and green yarn, sl st in a st at top of wreath. Ch 10, sl st in same st on wreath. Finish off and weave in ends.
