Countdown Calendar: Stars

There are many wonderful star patterns available. When searching for one to add to our “Countdown to Christmas Calendar” I wanted something unique. This one by “Zooty Owl”, with a touch of granny square (which I love) is perfect. It would be fun tied on gifts, hanging along the mantle or tied on a stocking.

MATERIALS

Yarn: DK or light ww (such as Caron Simply Soft) in choice of 3 colors

Crochet Hook: G

Miscellaneous: Yarn needle

Directions: Follow directions for making “Granny Star” by Zooty Owl.

Note about changes: To make the star slightly smaller, I started “row 1” with ch 2, and worked hdc instead of dc.
