The Plan!

Each month we’ll be posting patterns, suggestions, and challenges for completing projects. We’ll also be sharing ideas for storing and wrapping gifts. March 1st we’ll all start sharing pix of our stashes or plans. You could win prizes on the 25th of each month! Keep them for yourself or add them to your stash.

This is for home made gifts of ALL kinds.

If you crochet:

  • You’ll want to check out our patterns for “crochet on the go”, quick projects to work on in the car or while waiting places. Hey, every spare minute helps! Projects will be posted in our facebook group on the 1st and 15th of each month.
  • Work on those long term projects a little at a time and you can win prizes from some of my favorite designers too! Watch for links to some of our favorite projects and new ones too!

We’ll share a variety of DIY ideas every day on our facebook page too.

More Information

After lots of brainstorming, here is my gift stashing attack plan:

Monthly, March – September

Crochet Projects: I couldn’t narrow my plans to just one pattern/project a month. Since we all have different tastes, gift needs, and yarn stashes, I have decided to feature THREE patterns each month – one for slippers, one accessory (headband, scarf, mitts, etc) and one dish or wash cloth (these are my favorite gifts for neighbors, teachers, and any time a smaller gift is needed). Hopefully, those will cover our lists.

Calendar

1st part of the month: three (free) pattern links will be posted. Some will be brand new. All will be easy to intermediate level (basic skills needed and must be able to read a crochet pattern).

20th: challenge will be opened in our Facebook group and will be based on the current month’s patterns.

Winners will be announced the end of the current month or beginning of next month.

Look through your gift list. Choose one (or more) of the following projects to make this month for a person (people) on your list.

The challenge is to complete at least one of these projects. An event will be opened on the 15th and pictures of a finished project, made from one of these patterns, will need to be posted by the 25th. All information will be available on the 15th.
