What You Will Need To Do For This Event
Each person will crochet or knit 5 cloths and ship them to me (in Utah) between March 1st – April 1st. All packages must be postmarked by April 1st. You are responsible for the shipping cost to me, but will receive a pattern for a special snappy cloth to help offset the fee.
I will swap them and send you back 5 different awesome cloths made by snappy peeps.
Please make sure your email is correct so you will receive all emails about the event.
Click to purchase. This pays for the return shipping and adds you to the event.
Along with the five cloths, you will also receive a crochet pattern for a new snappy cloth.
Why a fee? The $6 fee is to pay for return shipping and packaging costs of the cloths back to you and is non-refundable. Each participant will also be responsible for paying to ship their cloths to the event host in Utah. This “might” cost you less than $6, depending on how they are shipped. Ship your cloths early so you can choose slower shipping.
Sign up for this event will close on January 31, 2019.
What Type of Cloths?
- Each participant will need to crochet or knit 5 washcloths. They can each be different, but please only make flat cloths, approximately 6-8″ square, round or similar.
- Please no scrubbies. Scrubbies are awesome but take up a lot of room in the packages.
You will need to send all 5 cloths to the event host (Heidi, owner of Snappy Tots) no later than April 1st, 2019. You will receive 5 different cloths back. Cloths will be swapped as they come in.
You may sign up more than once BUT each must be done separately.
All participants will also be invited to join our dishcloth swap facebook group. We will share pix, suggestions, links to patterns and more. It is really fun to see what everyone is making.

What pattern do I have to use?
ANY crochet or knit pattern for a flat cloth.
Isn’t there a cheaper way to ship these back?
we actually tried a TON of different options the first time around. I took the cloths to the post office and asked for their help in coming up with a cheaper option. I actually have researched shipping and am able to ship all cloths for $4-5. Why the extra money? It helps pay for the envelopes, labels and ink. I spend HOURS on the swap and donate that time because I really enjoy doing this.
What if something comes up and I have to cancel?
THINK WISELY and start making cloths at the beginning instead of waiting until the end and that eliminates this concern. The $6 fee is non refundable in hopes of getting people to stick to their commitment and remember the event.
