One of my awesome testers, Anita Mills, mentioned how cute she thought the new “Fishing Penguin Hat” would be as a matching scarf. Next thing I knew she had one made! How incredible is that?!

Main part of scarf: Anita used a stitch combo from one section of the “Snappy Sampler Snowman Scarf“. I love how it looks like waves of water.

With blue yarn and H hook, ch 19. Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across (18 sts).
*Ch 2, turn, sk 2, (sc, hdc, dc) in next st*, repeat to end (18 sts).
Keep repeating row until desired length. “It could be longer but wanted to share”.

Penguin pieces and orange fish are from the “Fishing Penguin Hat” pattern. This pattern is on sale today, 1/1/14.

Thanks Anita for sharing this wonderful creation! It turned out super cute.

One of my pet peeves is buying a pattern I can only use for one specific thing or size so I LOVE seeing lots of variations. I try to include as many suggestions/variations in my patterns as possible, but snappy peeps are extremely creative and come up with even more. If you have created something from my patterns and would like it spotlighted on my blog, please send the info to Include a picture (with watermark if desired), a link to your fb page and shop (if applicable), a list of patterns used and any other info you would like shared. Not all projects will be shared, but it is always fun to see them. ~Thanks!
