Free Pattern: By the Lake Headband

On our trip to Canada this summer, I picked up some colorful yarn I hadn’t seen. Red Heart Grumdrop yarn in Licorice and Rock Candy are both amazing yarns! I wanted an easy project for in the car. I’d been meaning to remake my “mustache headband” to show the beautiful texture.

It made a super cute cowl for my assistant Brookie, shown in photo above, too!

By The Lake Headband

The pattern below is written for the original “Mustache Headband”. I love this new version so much I decided to rename the pattern and include info to make it like mine. I hope you will enjoy both versions.

Materials:

3/4 skein Red Heart Gumball yarn (sample was made using the color “Rock Candy”)

I crochet hook.

Instructions: Follow pattern below for desired size. Do not change colors as directed. Just keep working in this fabulous yarn.

My band is 4″ wide. LOVE the width. The main pattern includes a note to repeat steps 4-5 until desired width. Yep, that’s what I did.

I hope you love your new band.

The materials listed below are for making a black and white band as shown.

Other Versions

The thin versions are great for keeping little whispies in place too!

I LOVE to run and workout but little hair whispies in my face drives me nuts. I wanted a thin headband with some sass to keep my hair out of my face.
