For a few years I have tried several different ways to sit while working on my laptop to eliminate what I call “laptop neck”. I have asked for suggestions and googled. No matter how I sat I could not keep from having neck and shoulder pain. I have bifocals so that added to my troubles. I got “computer” glasses and that seemed to help. Still I continued my search for a perfect sitting solution.
Nothing…until now! I am super excited about a fix I found by accident.
Recently the touchpad went out on my laptop. I dug through our tote of “someday we will need…” misc. computer stuff to find a mouse. The nice part about laptops is how portable and self sufficient they are. Adding a mouse with a WIRE takes adapting. This morning, while needing to type a long pattern, I started wondering if my husband could replace the touchpad or if an external one was available. While searching I found THEE BEST IDEA!
** UPDATE: This keyboard worked really well for about 3 months and then started randomly typing the letter “c” for no reason. I found other people had the same complaint. I returned this item and bought a different one.**
I found this wireless, lightweight keyboard on rollback at Walmart. There actually were several online close in price. I LOVE it! I sat my laptop on the table in front of me with the keyboard in my lap and viola! Comfy typing has begun. Yes it is a second item to tote around but, in my opinion, is totally worth it.
