Free Pattern: Colorful Blossom Flower

Colorful Blossom

I designed this flower to show a fun way to choose colors when making things such as granny squares and afghans. It is worked in one continuous piece, not sewn together. The last round could be left off to create a smaller blossom. Flowers are beautiful clipped on bags, hats, headbands, anywhere. I love to use them on packages instead of those squished plastic bows. A fun handmade touch that is a gift in itself.

Yarn colors:
A = middle circle and first round of petals (light green in main sample)
B = 2nd round of petals (white variegated in main sample)
C = outer petals (red in main sample)

Any weight yarn may be used. Sample was created with worsted weight and H hook. For different yarn weights, adjust hook size accordingly.

Miscellaneous: button for flower center (optional)
